Our Used Car Return Policy

Motorpark News

Due to government restrictions, it is not currently possible to view or test drive a vehicle at any of our sites.  That's why we have introduced a returns policy, which gives you a 7-day period to make up your mind- if the vehicle is not for you, we will exchange against another vehicle in our stock or if you find nothing is suitable,  we will give you a full refund.  Please see below for full terms and conditions.

For reasons of fraud prevention, we are only able to hand over the vehicle if we are satisfied with your proof of identification.  Please ensure you bring a valid photo ID with you (such as a current driving licence or passport).

We will not be able to release your vehicle or confirm your collection slot until we are satisfied all the documents have been received and meet our requirements.

Collection of your vehicle will take place at an agreed time and location. We will ensure that safe distancing measures are being followed, operating a safe socially distanced hand over.

You will have time to inspect the vehicle and ensure you are happy with its condition before being asked to sign either electronically or physically ( sanitised ) for the vehicle to complete your contract to purchase.

Please note that the following terms and conditions apply to Days Motorpark ‘Click and Collect’

We want you to love your purchase from Days Motorpark.  During these times where we are unable to offer you a test drive prior to purchase we are giving you seven days to drive your vehicle and get a real feel for it.  If you decide it isn’t right for you, we will either exchange it for you, with you receiving the price you paid for it against another vehicle in our stock, or, if we have nothing suitable then we will give you a full refund... no questions asked.

What are the limits of the Seven Day Money Back Guarantee?

If you wish to return your vehicle then we must be notified in writing within this seven day period. Upon receipt of your request, we will contact you to acknowledge receipt and make arrangements for your order to be cancelled.

We cannot accept to exchange / refund a vehicle if it has been modified or altered from the condition it was received in.

If you drive the vehicle over 250 miles during the first seven days we will not be able to accept the car as a return.  We will require a photograph of the mileage at the point of notification to verify the mileage covered.

If the vehicle has been in an accident or is damaged, we will not be able to accept the vehicle as a return.

If you have committed any motoring offences such as speeding / any other motoring offence or collected any parking fines during your period of ownership, then you will be liable for any penalty points and fines associated with these offences.

The vehicle must be returned to us within 48 hours of notification being made and us acknowledging your rejection request.  Any extension to this period will be at our discretion and additional charges may be incurred.

No refund will be made until the vehicle has been inspected and signed for by a member of our team.  If we intend to make any deductions from your final refund amount, then you will be made aware of that amount prior to the refund.

If I want to return my vehicle within the  Seven Day Money Back Guarantee period, is there a fee?

If the vehicle meets the criteria set, then there will be no fee if you return the vehicle.  Should we need to arrange to collect the vehicle from you, then we will charge £1.50 per mile (plus VAT) for the mileage to transport the vehicle from your original delivery address to the relevant Motorpark location where you purchased the vehicle.  This collection must be made within 14 days of you taking delivery of the vehicle or the guarantee will not be valid.  There will only ever be an extension to this period if we are unable to arrange suitable transport, it cannot be by way of refusal by the customer.

I want to return my car within the Seven Day Money Back Guarantee period.  When should I contact you ?

If you’d like to return your vehicle within the Motorpark seven day money back guarantee period, you’ll need to contact us before 5pm on the 7th day after taking ownership, to inform us of your decision.  The vehicle will need to be returned to us within 48 hours of us acknowledging your request and it must meet the criteria of the limits of the seven day money back guarantee.  Should the journey to return the vehicle to us mean you exceed the 250 mile limit, then we will charge £1.50 per mile ( plus VAT ) for every mile or part mile of excess mileage.

If you don't inform us within seven days of taking ownership, the vehicle returned to us within 48 hours of us acknowledging your request (or collected at your expense within 14 days of ownership ), you will not be eligible for the  Seven Day Money Back Guarantee.

What if I part exchanged a vehicle ?

If you part exchanged a vehicle with us, if the vehicle is still with us when you notify us of your intention to use the money back guarantee, you will receive this vehicle back as part of the transaction (please note you will need to re-insure and tax this vehicle).  Should the vehicle have already been sold then you will receive its part exchange value by way of a bank transfer for the relevant amount.  If the agreed value of the vehicle you part-exchanged was less than the amount used to settle any finance agreement of the vehicle you part-exchanged (known as negative equity) then you are liable for this difference and this amount will be deducted from your final refund amount or charged to you and we will require the funds to be paid at the point of the vehicles return to us.

DVLA Documentation

We require the V5 Registration Document for your return vehicle.  If you have not received the document from DVLA before you return the vehicle we will hold back by way of a bond, the sum of £250 from the refunded amount, which will then be paid upon the documents safe receipt at the relevant Motorpark branch.

What if I financed my car?

If you financed your car we will settle the relevant amount upon the vehicles return and any monetary deposit you paid will be returned to you in the form it was received e.g. a credit / debit card payment etc. Bank transfers will be returned to the bank account from which they were received.

For reasons of fraud prevention, we are only able to deliver to your home address and prior to arranging delivery we will require a proof of your current address to be sent to us (this proof can be any of the following: driving licence / bank statement / utility bill - this must be dated within the last 90 days).  On occasion we may be able to deliver to a Days Rental location in your locality and meet you there.  We are only able to offer delivery within Mainland UK and delivery charges for the service will apply.  Details of cost will be communicated by the selling Motorpark location.

Delivery of your vehicle will take place at an agreed time to your home address within the mainland of the UK.  Should you, for any reason, be unable to sign/accept this delivery on the agreed day then you will be liable for the cost of delivery and return at £1.50 per mile (plus VAT).

Upon receipt of your vehicle it is imperative that you fully inspect its physical condition.  Once you have signed to accept the vehicle we unfortunately cannot accept liability for any damage which was not noted when the vehicle is signed for and agreed for by yourself at delivery.

We can only deliver to your home address and you must be present at time of delivery as no other person can sign for the vehicle on your behalf.  The delivery driver will need you to provide your driving licence as proof of ID.  Should we arrange to meet you at a Days Rental location, proof of ID will still be required.

Please note that the following terms and conditions apply to Days Motorpark Home Delivery:

Where you have not visited the Motorpark site in person and signed for the vehicle you are entitled to a “cooling off period” in which you can change your mind about your purchase. This period begins from the day the vehicle is delivered to you and is valid for 14 days.

If you wish to return your vehicle then we must be notified in writing within this 14-day period.  Upon receipt of your request, we will contact you to acknowledge receipt and make arrangements for your order to be cancelled. We will endeavor to find a suitable replacement from our extensive stock, however if this is not possible the following will apply.
